France 24

Al-Jazeera English, the English version of the international news network al-Jazeera, has launched yesterday. Available on cable in Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Africa, the new network is expected to be a major France 24 competitor. Both networks are expected to bring a different point of view on the news to offset the American and British leadership from CNN, Fox News and the BBC.
